Online Therapy in California
Individuals, Couples, and Families
Laura Fish MS, LMFT
Welcome, I’m glad you’ve arrived.
Let me share a bit about what to expect in therapy.
You do not have to suffer…
Therapy starts with feeling truly seen, heard, understood, safe, and supported by someone like me, trained and experienced in providing the tools you need to create meaningful change.
Things can change…
My approach is relationship-driven and person-centered, meaning I do not impose a one-size-fits-all method of therapy. Instead, I meet each individual, couple, or family with an open mind, listening deeply to your lived experience. From there, I provide evidence-based tools that lead to healing for lasting change.
I am here to help…
Finding the right therapist may feel like a daunting task, but I hope to make the process easier for you. While insurance coverage is often a key consideration, I encourage you to consider additional variables that contribute to an effective therapeutic experience. If you have any questions, I am just an email away and happy to help.

Why You Might Seek Therapy
Anxiety, Emotional Overwhelm, and Life Transitions
Anxiety has outpaced depression as the most common mental health concern in the United States. If you’re feeling on edge, exhausted, or unable to quiet your thoughts, you’re not alone. Laura will help you understand the brain reasons for these challenges and offer you tools to manage anxiety and achieve equanimity. You do not have to live like this.
Couples, Family, and Parenting Therapy
We are tribal creatures; we do better in connection with other humans. Relationships shape how we communicate, cope, and connect. Whether the challenges are within a marriage or friendship, between adults co-parenting, or between parents and children, therapy can help bring things back into balance. Laura provides tools to understand these patterns and support healthier, more connected relationships.
Trauma and Unresolved Stress
What happened there and then can shape how we experience the here and now. Trauma may show up as anxiety, emotional reactivity, shutdown, or difficulties in relationships. It also might be at the core of your people-pleasing, perfectionistic, and lack of taking care of yourself behaviors. As a highly trained trauma therapist, Laura focuses on safety, awareness, and pacing—supporting healing for lasting change.
